WHAT IS WORM CALC?
This app is designed to assist worm farmers who raise virtual worms and sell them for real money in FarmFrenzy, a sub-game of the Goldtokens community within Secondlife. If you are unfamiliar with these, we urge you to check them out. You wont believe what youve been missing! Goldtokens is an ingenious sub-economy built around an 80k+ member gaming community within the Secondlife "Grid." Members fish, hunt coins & gems, raise breedable pets, farm worms, and more for Lindens. This virtual currency can then be converted to USD or other currencies via Secondlife.

Land owners leverage these games to generate traffic for their properties and business ventures in the SL Grid, creating a win-win for all involved, as well as a thriving economy. I, OneMadSquid in SL, am an avid worm farmer with nearly fifty worm farms of various types and values. As such, I rely on an open market supply of component materials which I need to cycle my farms, thus creating a product that I can sell back on the open market (worms).

WHAT DOES IT DO?
One of the largest adversities facing worm farmers in the Goldtokens community is the threat of selling worms at a loss. This is because prices fluctuate on the component materials, and because there is a 20% tax on sales that new farmers and old hands alike often forget to account for.

Squids Worm Calculator allows farmers to see exactly what their costs will be for each of the four types of worms grown in Secondlife, as well as what their profit will be, AFTER tax, if they sell worms produced at a set cost for a particular price.

INSTRUCTIONS
For Small, Tasty, and Enchanted Worms, simply input the current market price of bio-waste, as ascertained by visiting the Snuffles Headquarters (where biowaste and other materials are bought and sold) and checking the current price in the bin.

You can also input the current price of worms at the barrel (ascertained by visiting one of the many FishHunt fishing buoys in Secondlife and verifying the current price in the barrel) to determine of you will profit from or lose money by selling your worms at the current price.

Now tap "CALCULATE" near the bottom of the app. For now hitting "Return" on the keyboard will not process data. Its as simple as that!

***NOTE: For Magic Worms the formula is slightly different. A breeding pack is NOT required but 20,000 Goldtokens ARE. This creates the need to calculate for a second variable.***
